Rachel Zoe’s Stylin’ Eyes and Baby News

28 Mar

Stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, didn’t let being pregnant stand in her way of attending lavish events, covering magazines or dressing the rich and famous. In fact, the fashion guru hid her baby bump so discretely that it was almost impossible to tell she had a bun in the oven. Maybe Rachel will slow down a bit to enjoy her new bundle of joy—she gave birth to son Skylar Morrison Berman earlier last week.

Whether or not the fashionista turned reality star takes a break from her hectic styling schedule, it’s safe to say that her baby boy will most likely be the trendiest munchkin on the block.

25 Mar

The world lost a magnificent lady on March 23, 2011. Elizabeth Taylor, known for being an on- and off-screen siren, social activist and fashionista, was adored by women and fawned over by men. After winning two Academy Awards and earning her top spot in Hollywood, Elizabeth Taylor used her fame as a podium to help fight in the war against AIDS. The beauty with the infamous violet eyes leaves behind an incredible legacy that most couldn’t accomplish in two lifetimes.

Take a look at some of Elizabeth Taylor’s most in vogue eyewear moments as she raised the bar for fashion standards.

The King’s Speech Cast Gets Some Lacoste Lovin’

23 Mar

The all-star cast of The King’s Speech continued to reign supreme throughout award season, with the majority of the cast being nominated for their performances at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globes and Oscars. While two of our favorite veteran actors, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter, didn’t strike Oscar gold for their supporting roles, they certainly gained well-deserved recognition for their acting chops.

We’ve already seen how handsome fellow cast mate and Oscar winner Colin Firth looks in eyewear, now it’s time to see how Geoffrey and Helena fared.

Geoffrey never failed to show off his dapper style throughout award season, especially in retro and geek chic specs. He looks just as charming (if not more so) in a tortoise pair of Lacoste L616S shades with a keyhole bridge by Marchon Eyewear.

Helena, on the other hand, sported round, blacked out sunnies on the red carpet, but it’s nice to see her pretty peepers as she dons pink, butterfly shaped Lacoste L2607 specs by Marchon Eyewear.

Mila Kunis Sizzles in Lacoste Shades

11 Mar

Mila Kunis has been on Hollywood overdrive since the release of her critically acclaimed film Black Swan. Besides supporting the endless movie promotions and premieres, the actress has received impressive accolades for her performance as the rival ballerina to Natalie Portman’s character, resulting in a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for best supporting actress.

After months of grueling ballet training, dropping 20 pounds, promoting the film and surviving the stressful award season, it looks like Mila can finally sit back and enjoy the limelight.

Red Carpet Styled Eyes

9 Mar

Sadly, award season has come to a close, but that doesn’t mean we can’t relish in the fabulous fashions we’ve seen over the past few months.

Beginning with the Golden Globes all the way down to the Oscars, stars heated up the red carpet in delicious eyewear. Many styles showed face, but there were a few trends in particular that A-listers just couldn’t get enough of.

In case you missed our posts throughout award show season, here’s a refresher on the top celeb picks for eyewear:

Geek chic ruled the streets at every award show. Styles included round, rectangular and square shapes, bold browlines and keyhole bridges in black and tortoise. Famous faces like Johnny Depp, Seth Rogen, Chamillionaire and Geoffrey Rush were spotted rocking this look.

It’s not a night out without a pair of aviators, as we’ve learned from the likes of John Mayer, Marc Anthony, Blair Underwood and Kevin Spacey. Seen in metal and plastic materials, this classic shape debuted in teardrop, rectangular and butterfly shapes.

Blacked out lenses were a smash hit, especially among young Hollywood, and graced the faces of Lady Gaga, Lil’ Wayne, Bruno Mars and Elly Jackson. These super dark and mysterious lenses were caught in a number of different styles such as cat-eyes, wayfarers and retro-round shapes.

Gradient lenses also made their way onto the scene in rose, amber and copper hues. It was a fan favorite among P Diddy, LL Cool J, John Legend, Usher and Nikki Sixx. These sultry lenses came in a variety of styles including aviators, squares and geek chic.

Shields always add a dramatic effect to any outfit,  so it doesn’t come as a shock that they made the rounds on favorite celebs like Justin Bieber, will.i.am, Lenny Kravitz and B.oB. Some stars kept their shields simple in all black, while others sported pops of color.
